Jiban Mukhopadhyay History Book PDF Jiban Mukhopadhyay was born in the year of 1797 and died in 1837. He was a revolutionary and revolutionary poet. These days he is seen as a pioneer of Bengali literature and is considered one of the most important poets to emerge from Bengal. He use to write poems under various pseudonyms like Charuchandra, Dandapani, Krishnachandra, Silabananda etc. One of his famous works is 'Banshiramayan'. He had written about 157 different works in his lifetime. These include about 80 songs, 50 Odias, 5 plays, 4 novels etc. Jiban is also said to have started a new kind of poetry with deep thoughts and emotions expressed in simple language at a time when most literary works were highly Sanskritized formal compositions on religious subjects, intricate word play etc. The author of Chidananda O Kirti believes that Jiban Mukhopadhyay was the first modern Bengali poet. The book 'Chidananda O Kirti' is written in simple language and contains poems which are mostly concerned with thoughts, feelings and emotions. The songs are mostly in 'vacana' or pure Sanskrit language while others are songs in Bengali language. This is a collection of songs, thoughts and poems written by the revolutionary poet Jiban Mukhopadhyay. In the early 19th century, he was imprisoned by East India Company. His thoughts were so revolutionary that this book came to be banned even though it was written in 1837.
